I think a simple plan violently executed today is better than the complicated multi-stage, multi-layered, nuanced plan that we're going to do over the next six months. When it comes to early-stage ideas, just remember: Ideas and inspiration behind them are perishable; they expire. And so you want to strike while the idea is hot and not wait around falling into the trap of making big plans.

So, basically you're pursuing truth, health, and wealth in that order. And I think that's actually the right priority order. So, learn truth—determine what is true. Pursue health because without that, you have really nothing else. And then wealth is important, but it's third. And it's important to have that third. You never want to do something that's untrue to make money or to sacrifice your long-term health for wealth. I mean, whatever, losing sleep one day, okay, it may not be the end of world. For a year, it's going to affect your long-term health.

The way I like to work is I like to go, basically, wake up, obsess over something, go to bed, wake up, obsess, go to bed, like every second of the day until I just have a mental breakdown and burn out. And then I take a day off, or maybe a day and a half off, and I like to go right back to it. So, I don't work certain days; I just go as hard as I can, every ounce, my entire body, until I just crash.

The good advice is boring ... This is true with personal development, it's true with social skills, true with diet, nutrition, everything—the stuff that works is boring. It's not the information that's hard; it's simply doing it; it's implementing consistently over a long period of time. That's the hard part.

Winners follow up. Winners double down on what's working. Winners get on the next flight out to go meet you in person. And the way I say it is intensity is the strategy.

You want to be the Louis Vuitton of happiness. You want your happiness to be very expensive—that it takes a very, very big event, even bigger than all your NFTs getting stolen, for something to take it away. So, you have to decide the price of your happiness.

It's more important, in today's world, to figure out... what am I best at? And then, what does the world value? And then, what am I passionate about? ... The intersection of that set of things is where you want to develop your talents because, over time, that's where your comparative advantage will be the highest, and that is where the network will pay you the most for contributing to the network.

The first Internet collected the information. The second Internet created the framework for communication, right? This third thing, this web 3 NFT thing, it's going to capture the consumerization of assets, and the stakes are fucking high.

I realized that wisdom or good judgment is the thing that's most short in supply and the most valuable ... You don't have to be that hard-working or that smart if you have great judgment, if you pick the right things to focus on, pick the right people to work with, pick the right place to live ... If you have poor judgment, no amount of hard work or intelligence really saves you; you kind of screw yourself.

You want to fix any company? Sweep all the cash flows into Bitcoin, convert the treasury into Bitcoin, borrow against your future cash flows and dollars [and] convert that into Bitcoin, finance all your fixed assets in dollars [and] convert that into Bitcoin, and issue equity... at the highest valuation you can now in dollars and invest in Bitcoin.

McDonald's makes $25 billion selling diabetes to people with Coca-Cola ... One thing my mentor told me: 'If you have value, never be afraid to charge.' Charlie Munger says, 'If 10% of people don't complain about your prices, you're too cheap.'

And then you have a technology, the most disruptive technology of our life—more disruptive than Google, than Facebook, more disruptive than YouTube, more disruptive than Zoom, more disruptive than the iPhone. It took Google 22 years to get to a trillion; it took Amazon 24 years to get to a trillion; it took Apple 42 years to get to a trillion; it took Microsoft 44 years to get to a trillion; it took Bitcoin 12.

I think a lot of people live in fear of volatility, but a lot of people live in fear of a lot of things. If you have enough fear, you won't leave your house; you won't do anything ... You have to have a bit of courage and conviction. I can give you a thousand reasons why I think it makes sense to invest in Bitcoin. I can't give you any reason why I should be afraid to do a rational thing.

The single most important thing for you to have in your life is a forecast for the money supply expansion in your country for the next eight years ... Before you invest the next decade of your life doing whatever, stop and study up on macroeconomics and form an opinion about the rate at which your currency is going to lose economic energy.

Money will not solve all your problems, but money can take care certain problems. So, if there's ten problems, four of them—say, childcare, my daughter's braces, being able to Uber back and forth to the airport—I can take those problems off the table. It will not solve my marriage. It will not make me a loving father or an attentive father. Those are problems I have to solve. It won't make me in shape. It won't help my mind. But at least taking those pain points off the table means a lot to me.

Inside crypto... there's all this innovation happening—the next protocol, the next token, the next whatever. I'm pretty sure that if you just buy three or four things—if you buy Bitcoin, ETH, I put LUNA in there now—just buy those three, and you just chill, either all of crypto is going to work and those will work amazingly, or crypto's not going to work, and no matter what you did.... If those fail, if those don't go up dramatically in value, crypto just didn't work, and none of that shit will work.

I think the NFT and web3 stuff is just complete nonsense. I think it's inferior entrepreneurs slapping their web3 name on crap that no one wants and hoping that it's going to work.

The short version of that I say in every negotiation is the more stubborn party wins, always. People think that the person who wins in negotiation is the one who has the stronger logical case; hell no. It's the person who is more stubborn who wins, always.

If you bring a level of seriousness to something that everybody else considers not serious, you can actually win much bigger than most people realize.

If it's not interesting to your friend, guess what? It's not going to be interesting to a stranger. You have to be able to explain it in a way that's simple and use that as a filter. If you would never talk about it, don't write about it.
